Olivia looking good for Rio - Farnham Herald
LIPHOOK Paralympic sprint queen Olivia Breen has taken part in the official unveiling of Team GB’s kits for the 2016 summer Olympics and Paralympics.
Olivia was on the poduim alongside Olympic gold-winning heptathlete Jessica Ennis-Hill and diver Tom Daly, who picked up a bronze at the 2012 London Games, at the unveiling in London.
Olivia said she had a fabulous day – apart from struggling to maintain a serious face and keep a mean posture.
She has been filming ‘Superhumans’ for Channel 4 recently as well as a mini- documentary for Sky which was shown at the end of April.
The Adidas-branded outfits – which attracted some criticism in some quarters – were designed by world-famous fashion designer Stella McCartney.
The countdown has begun and the launch took place exactly 100 days before the Rio Olympics get under way.
The kit, which took two years to create, features a new British coat of arms which acts as a symbol across the two teams and multiple sports.
Olivia will be visiting Bohunt School on Thursday with the Sky Living for Sport team, working with a group of selected children as an athletics mentor.
Selection for the Rio summer Olympics is at end of July just after the Anniversary Games.
The Paralympic team will be heading off to Brazil at the end of August but Olivia may go earlier as her coach also trains several able athletes.
